About the Award

Colorado Companies to Watch is a program that’s designed to ignite Colorado’s entrepreneurial spirit by acknowledging up-and-coming companies that play a key role in driving the state’s economy. Second-stage businesses help bring revenue to the state and provide jobs and income for residents. The program aims to encourage the growth of small businesses and express gratitude for the companies who are helping Colorado become a better place to live.

How Are the Winners Decided?

Winners do not have to be involved in any specific line of business or industry. The program is all-inclusive. Applicants are screened based off their contributions to the community, philanthropic actions, growth, and success. Then judges select 50 companies as winners. In return, the winners are given media exposure. Here are some of the qualities that applications are judged on:

    Mike Kinsey has sold and installed over 250,000 square feet of window film. As the Operations Manager for Denver Home Window Tinting, Mike oversees all aspects of sales, product education, and customer relations. He is also the project manager for all residential window film installs. Mike's extensive product knowledge and years of experience give him the ability to select the perfect window film for any home. From privacy and decorative to energy efficiency, security, and more, Mike is well versed in all the top innovations and products available on the market today. He and his team have completed hundreds of projects in the Denver metro area, as well as the surrounding areas of Aurora, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Centennial, Englewood, Thornton, and Littleton.
